calculadorahipotecas.org is a free information tool for understanding and comparing mortgages in Spain: a calculator that runs entirely in your browser, plus a collection of practical guides published in Spanish and English.
We are an independent project: we are not a bank, not a mortgage credit intermediary, and we do not sell any financial product. We have no commercial agreements with lenders and we do not recommend specific banks. The site is funded exclusively by advertising.
The content is written and reviewed by the editorial team of calculadorahipotecas.org. We prefer to let the work speak for itself: every guide states its editorial check date and links the official sources it relies on, so you can verify each claim yourself.

The calculator uses the French amortisation system (constant instalments), the method normally used for mortgage loans in Spain. From the amount, term and interest rate you enter, it computes the monthly instalment, the amortisation schedule and the total cost, and estimates an APRC (TAE; commonly APR) that incorporates the fees, costs and linked products you specify, following the approach of the Spanish mortgage credit legislation.
